A kiwi weekend

27/08/2016

Today I went to the Auckland zoo together with Anna and Ben (a kiwi friend) today. We were meeting at 11:00 at the entrance of the zoo. This was for us unfortunately slightly different. We first took the train to Henderson from there take the bus to the zoo. We had seen on the app of the bus that we 080 had to take. That bus was indeed and we are also crept. When we were seated, we came to the conclusion that buses can run with the same number in both directions on the bus, it just depends on which side of the street you are. We stood on the wrong side and arrived in Westgate. 😂 From there we took or the right bus and it was' only’ one hour to the zoo. We arrived at 12:20. Ben ocharme, he was there to 11:00…
After our bus adventure, could start the adventure critters. We started at the zebras, giraffes and ostriches. This live together in a domain. We went as quickly to the smaller critters. they stokstaartjes, turtles and birds. There were not so long ago, small turtles born, very cute!! Van klein, to very large. We arrived at the lions and elephants. Soon it was time to go to the one and only New Zealand kiwi. Again, it was not allowed to take pictures. The kiwis were very active, which is nice because you can see them at least. We have the rest still seen very much amused and animals. It was very funny when we arrived at the spiders. Anna is in fact terrified of spiders. As we saw they were not seated Ben and I her all the time teasing that they are likely to have escaped. The Tasmanian devil was worth. These were just fed at the time we arrived. So cute!
Then it was time to go home. It was Animals at a day.😉

Today Anna and I were invited to go along with some kiwifruit swimming in Parakai Springs. We know the kiwifruit of the BBQ two weeks ago. They are really lovely people! We were with a group of 8. Brittany (we met on the BBQ), her sister and her brother, To (Also met on the BBQ) and her brother, a friend of Brittany in class and we. It was a small two hours drive, but really worth it. They have a very warm indoor pool, an outdoor pool and two slides. The pools are naturally heated by the near supernatural, hot springs located. We have very amused. After a two and half hour swim we left back on the way home. But that was not without a stop at a local ijsboer. 😋🍦. You could choose your own fruit and which was then mixed with vanilla ice cream and then placed on a cone. I had a nice nature bee ice. It was huge so I have to eat more in the car.

I like to make this weekend something Kiwi friends. I feel more 'integrated’ and 😊.
